With a heart full of wonder and a nose for fun, Charlotte Macfarlane—better known under the big top as Curly Rose—delights in bringing laughter, color, and connection wherever she goes. Her clowning journey began as a wide-eyed festival-goer, mesmerized by the playful, powerful artistry of Dream Dance Circus performers lighting up the night. Inspired by their magic, she stepped into the ring herself, eager to join the dance.

Her first prop was poi—spinning trails of light under festival skies and learning the rhythm of flow from Dream Dance’s own troupe juggler and on the sun-drenched beaches of Mexico. From those first flickers of movement, her curiosity blossomed into a full-hearted passion for circus arts.

Today, Curly Rose brings her own sparkle to the stage with face painting, balloon twisting, and playful clowning that invites people of all ages to pause, play, and feel joy. Her style is gentle, curious, and full of heart—always seeking connection, always chasing giggles.

Whether she’s spinning, painting tiny faces, or sharing balloon creatures with bright-eyed dreamers, Charlotte brings her signature warmth and whimsy to every performance. She’s not just a clown—she’s a celebration in motion.
